Job Description

We are seeking a Plasma Table Operator to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC plasma cutting table.

 

Essential Functions

1. Load and unload the burning table using a forklift with chains or other lifting devices
2. Remove the cut product from the table and stack it on pallets or other holding areas
3. Program and operate the plasma cutter using proper gases and cutting tips
4. Generate multiple parts nesting
5. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine while maintaining an organized workspace
6. Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures in place for defective product
7. Ensure timely delivery of the finished product to maintain efficient workflow between departments
8. Work by established safety rules and good housekeeping practices

4. Able to read and follow plans and specifications to set up the machine and cutting process (Plasma / Oxy-Fuel) correctly.

Work Environment
This job operates in a typical shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. Power tools, including saws, and forklifts, are also frequently used. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

 

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a 40-hour work week with the potential of some paid overtime. This is not a remote position.

 

This position is located in our Pumpcon office at 274 Highway 65 N, Conway, AR 72032.

 

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

 

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
Post-secondary or Trade School education or 3+ years’ experience operating CNC Plasma Table Machines is preferred but not required.
