Open Position: Welder
Summary Objective
Welder would work in our fabrication shop with other members of the fabrication team to build our various fabrication assemblies such as our fish cleaning stations, bases for Arrow buildings, and pump brackets. They would also assist in various assembly duties.
Essential Functions
- Weld items for Arrow Station buildings, fish cleaning stations, and other metal fabrication as assigned
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
- Read and understand plans and specifications prior to starting a project
- Assist in the assembly of valve vaults and Arrow Station buildings when welding projects are caught up
Competencies
- Familiar and proficient in mild steel wire (MIG), hardwire, flux cored SS, and tig welding
- Able to read and follow plans and specifications
- Able to use basic hand tools such as drills, various saws, and grinders
- Able to take and read measurements correctly using a tape measure, level, etc.
- Work in a safe and effective manner

Work Environment
This job operates in a typical shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. There is also frequent use of power tools, including saws, and forklifts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a 40-hour work week with the potential of some paid overtime. This is not a remote position.
This position is located in our Pumpcon office at 274 Highway 65 N; Conway, AR 72032.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Post-secondary or Trade School education is preferred but not required.
